I was just reading The Grace and Truth Paradox by Randy Alcorn. He quotes part of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. I was reminded how much I really like this book and all of the symbolism in it between Aslan and Jesus. It is a kid's story, but there is so much in it for adults also. Anyway, this is such a great quotation that I wanted to share it here too.
Susan asks Mr. and Mrs. Beaver about Aslan the Lion:
"Is he - quite safe? I shall feel rather nervous about meeting a lion."
"That you will dearie, and no mistake," said Mrs. Beaver. "If there's anyone who can appear before Aslan without their knees knocking, they're either braver than most or just plain silly."
"Then he isn't safe?" said Lucy.
"Safe?" said Mr. Beaver; "don't you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? Of course he isn't safe. But he's good. He's the King, I tell you."
